Sri Shyam Temple, Hyderabad

A committee was formed by the name of 'Sri Shyam Mandir Seva Samithi, Kachiguda, Hyderabad in 1992 with Registration No. 4342/1992 for the construction of the Sri Shyam Temple.

The temple architecture plan was prepared by Sri Ganapathi Satpati and the same was passed by Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamy, Kanchipuram, later on the temple construction work was handed over to Sri Ganapathi Satpati.

The Bhoomi Pooja was performed by Sri Bhawarlalji Badegaonwale on 5th May, 1994 under the presidentship of Sri Raghunathmalji Goel. Special Co-operation was provided by Sri Brijlalji Tibrewal, Sri Haradayaldasji Tibrewal, Sri Madanlalji, Sri Chandrakanthji Dakotiya, Sri Mahaveerprasadji  Rukmani Bai chidiyawale, Sri Shivaduttraiji Educational charitable Trust, Sri Shivaduttraiji Prahladraiji. Apart from these the members of the Temple committee and devotees has given their full co-operation which resulted in the construction of a beautiful temple.

The inauguration was done by Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamy and Sri Ananth Saraswathi Swamy on the 22nd of April 1996. Sri krishnakanthji, former Governor of Andhra Pradesh & Sri Krishanji Khaitan (Khaithan Industries Limited), were the chief guest in the programme. The lighting of lamps and rally (Jhulus) started from Agarwal School which consisted of Elephant, Horse, Chariot, Tempo. Both the Jagath Guru's on one chariot sat followed by the devotees with flags. Women were carrying on their head colorfully decorated Kalash. All the devotees were dancing and singing the various rhythmic Bhakti Bhajans and Devotional songs, all the Devotees in lakhs all over the way enjoyed this procession. The City was overwhelmed and enshrined with Bhakti songs of Sri Shyam Baba. On reaching the Temple Prasadam and water was distributed to devotees.

A Bhajan programme was organized in the night in which Sri Nandu Bhaiya and Sri Shyam Sunderji Sharma sang  devotional songs which attracted devotees.

Since from the opening of the temple devotees have been offered Poshak to Lord Sri Shyam Baba, Lord Sri Laxminarayanaji and Lord Sri Radhakrishnaji. Offerings and Aarthi were truly performed. Makhan-Mishri was distributed as prasadam in the morning and in the evening various types of prasadams were distributed to devotees. Colorful decorations were done to Baba.

In the temple premises a Kitchen Hall, Food Court and a stage for Bhajans and 2 big Halls with a total area 30,000 sft. Auditorium has been constructed. Lift facility is available for three floors. Water purifier plant, Generator and nearly 10 rooms have been constructed.

Except on Ekadashi Bhajans are performed on all other days by Shyam Mahila Mandal and devotees. Celebrations are invited from the devotees to conduct family functions on name of God, and the entire facility is provided.
